Outside I feel the heat seeping into every pore the moment the sun touches my skin. I’m simply glad humidity hasn’t quite got its hold in the atmosphere just yet.
Anyway–
To the 0.5% of you who noticed I disappeared in May, fret not, I’m back.
I could say I took a break from all social media (to do what, write?) but alas, I did not. Instead I took May to be away from the blogging world to do not much of anything. I’m only back because I missed my 5 loyal readers.
To the 0.02% who missed the quote of the day posts, they will be back on the morrow.
In case you haven’t caught on this is me trying to be funny. Make my day–tell me I’m hilarious.
Real posts to come. This one is just to say hello again.

On a side note, what are you guys watching? Call me a dork, but I’m watching Poldark.
Perhaps the world will seem right again, now that you are back. (Yes, hilarious)
Warmest regards, Ed

Well, after I reply to this, you can expect only four more people to reply! All the others are impostors and are trying to fool this panel. (Sorry, channeling my youth.)
Now that you’re back, perhaps quote of the hour is your penance. We’ll do it Central Daylight Saving Time, so you can sleep for eight hours.
But to answer your question: Audrey Hepburn movies: Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade.

Haha yes, sounds like a great plan.
I’ve had Breakfast at Tiffany’s on my watchlist for a while now. Should I move it up on watch priority?

Perhaps — Truman Capote’s original novella was about a quirky character, something of a gold digger, upon which the movie thrust a romantic relationship. Hepburn gets a good many witty lines. And everyone cries at the conclusion. If that’s what you want, move it up the list!

Oh, Texas is actually burning. I thought after SXSW the place had become hip, cool, groovy. Silly me.

The most overlooked show on Netflix⦠Sense 8. Only two seasons with a two hour series finale due June 8⦠oh I just got that. Anyway give it a try. Stay with it through the fourth episode, the one with the song. Oh and welcome back!

I think I saw that one the last time I was looking for something to watch! I’ll have to check it out!

Hello right back! If the world wasn’t a busier place, I’d have more than subconsciously notice the QOTDs and the Memoirs of a Writer posts weren’t coming in. Your post made me realise you’ve been quiet. Welcome back, I hope May-off got you rejuvenated?
I’m watching This Is Us. gggrrrrrrr

Taking time off from blogging was a nice reprieve, but also kind of tempting to keep it on hold π
I’ve heard a lot about This Is Us! I’m so weary to watch it because I don’t like going through all those emotions π

I noticed you were gone. I did a lot more deleting and a lot less reading of my email. I took May off, too. I did it to write and actually finished the book I was working on. It turned out as more of a rough draft than a first draft. I have a lot of rewriting to do. The sad thing is, I didn’t even notice I stopped blogging for the first two weeks or so.
I’ve never even heard of Poldark, so I can’t call you a dork for watching it. I got an extended free HBO preview through Amazon, so I caught up on Game Of Thrones and now I’m watching Silicone Valley. To save you the trouble, I’ll call myself a dork.

That’s so great that you were able to get your writing done! The most I’ve done the last couple of weeks is work on a few of my poems.
Have you ever heard of BBC classic mini series? Well, PBS has something similar called “Masterpiece” and that’s what Poldark is under. It’s based off a classic novel. I’m watching it on Amazon π

My family (except for my little sister) was watching “Deadwood,” but we took a hiatus when my brother went to work for my aunt in North Carolina. So lately we’ve been watching reruns of “Frasier.” π

Well, there’s this — it succeeded! 37 years later I’ve seen hide nor hair of him. My daughter, my biggest worry in that scenario, stayed safe. She just became a grandmother. So, it was worth it.

Yeah, when it was so hot in early June, I thought, my God, what are July and August going to be like? Might have to move to a cooler climate, like Death Valley. π
