“We all know that something is eternal. And it ain’t houses and it ain’t names, and it ain’t earth, and it ain’t even the stars . . . everybody knows in their bones that something is eternal, and that something has to do with human beings. All the greatest people ever lived have been telling us that for five thousand years and yet you’d be surprised how people are always losing hold of it. There’s something way down deep that’s eternal about every human being.”

Something way down deep | QOTD

The Arabs call this ‘fitra’, the primordial, inert nature of humans that knows its role and purpose that the brain/intellect/ego tries to dissuade or ignore. Love the quote

Like the comment about fitra, very interesting. I think that most traditional peoples have felt that all living beings have spirit. At this time when species are going extinct faster than ever before (except the dinosaurs I guess!), it is good for we humans to keep in mind. Love your blog, Zarah. Impressive work. -Rebecca

I’m reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Eat, Pray, Love,” and this morning came across a similar idea from the India section on ashrams, gurus, and yogis. We are the divine, should we choose to/become able to realize it. God is [in] all of us.

Hi and thanks for your support. Yes indeed in deed. This Eternal “something” has long been recognised within many of Our World Legends. We are much SO much more. Yet and so the Legends ALSO do say. If and when we ever REAL I SED… that… then This Place. Would no longer be. Enjoy Your Work. I do.
