Life Underwater
By Zarah Parker

Oceans never sleep,
as a brightly lit city,
where thoughts never stop,
and eyes never weary.

Waves crash,
as bodies keep moving,
hearts race, words
begin to blur.

Predators prowl the sea;
prowl the streets,
looking to devour,
overpower.

Oceans never sleep;
waves continue to reach the shore,
as the city continues to reach
always, always for more.

An oldie.
